Yom Hashoah Holocaust Remembrance Day

Davidson's Jewish Student Union will be holding space throughout the day in the Lilly Gallery for quiet reflection, as well as for students, faculty, staff, and community members to sign up to read out names of those killed in the Holocaust throughout the day.  Also, in the Lilly Gallery, Holocaust educator and speaker Steve Goldberg will speak and tell the story of his friend Abe Piasek, a survivor of the camps who, shortly before he died, asked Steve to keep telling his story. Steve’s talk will be followed by closing words and prayers from Rabbi Tracy Klirs.
